How It All Began
I started making my dog treats back in late 2018 when a friend gave my dogs one his homemade treats. And they loved them. I then began researching dog treats to make sure that I only used ingredients that were not only safe but nutritious. I wanted the best for my dogs, Bella and Boomer.
I took his recipe and expanded it, I wanted the treats to be healthier and nutritious at the same time, and they need to be tasty to dogs. Every treat that I make I have tasted myself. I only use the best ingredients. Ingredients that you would find on your own dinner table or plate.
I do not add any sugar, salt or preservatives to my treats. The treats are cooked and then dehydrated. By dehydrating the treats it extends their shelf life and adds a bit of a crunch which helps keep their teeth clean. The dehydration process was a happy accident, when I make a batch of treats, it was more that I was willing to feed my dogs and they would only keep for a week in the refrigerator and by dehydrating the treats they keep for months when stored properly.
When I make a batch of treats, I usually make a big batch so that I always have treats available for sale. However, treats that you buy will never be more than 2 months old. If the treats don’t sell in that time, I donate them to a no-kill shelter down the road.
